I am currently a PhD candidate in the Mechanical Engineering department at UC Santa Barbara working in Linda Petzold’s group. The focus of my research is computational modeling of the protein signaling networks in the yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae. Specifically, I use discrete spatial stochastic methods to glean information about how simple pattern formation occurs during yeast mating. I am interested in how patterns form in nature and what the role of noise or randomness is for cellular pattern formation. Check out the research and publication pages for more information.
